A new book has just been published about Bininj Gunwok language. The author is Murray Garde. The book was launched on 18 December at the Australian National University by the School of Culture, History and Language. Speakers included Prof. Margaret Jolly, Prof. Nicholas Evans, Prof. Jon Altman and special guests from Western Arnhem Land, Stuart Guymala and Emmanuel Namarnyilk. The book is an ethnography of communication that focuses on the way Bininj Gunwok speakers refer to other people in everyday conversation.
